Holborn Community Association this Christmas hosted a community festive lunch with the help of Waitrose & Partners and John Lewis & Partners.  

Throughout the UK Waitrose & Partners and John Lewis & Partners have been going into local communities to deliver festive cheer from volunteering at food banks, to lunches (like this one!) or inviting communities to do an activity in store.  

Melanie Barker, the Community Laison Co-ordinator at the Oxford Street store told us “6 of us came down today to help host a community festive lunch partnering with Waitrose. It is lovely to give back as working in-store can get so busy.  It’s great to remind ourselves what the festive season is all about – getting together, having a good chat and sharing good food! It’s a pleasure to play a small part in helping to keep this going”. 

Saira Hassan our Operations Manager says “big thank you to John Lewis for the Festive Feast, we had over 50+ people from our local community attending the event enjoying the delicious food and catching up with each other. I would also thank our lovely volunteers Mehwish, Hanna, Yasmeen and Rizwana for their help!”
