The Camden Adult Learning art classes got off to a wonderful start this term. The artists used a style of drawing known as Blind Conture Drawing.
A technique where artists draw an object without looking at the paper. The objective is to use your eyes/touch to follow the object’s shape and train the hand to draw in sync. For the first session the participants did blind self-portraits. They had to close their eyes, put pencils to papers and draw while feeling the shape and contours of their own faces.
Tutored by artist Linda Markey, the students did extremely well and all had a great deal of fun!
We cannot wait to see the final results!
