There was a riot of colour, chatter and creativity at 1A Arts last Thursday when we opened our doors for our annual Open Studio.
There was a wide range of work on display, from participants of all ages. We opened the pottery to showcase the brilliant creations of children, young people, adults and older people, as well as having a dedicated screening room to share the talents of our young filmmakers and animators from our digital media project throughout the year.
We also took the chance to share some of our recent Media Arts Club’s Motion Graphics Work, as well as art from our Children’s Creative Communication Group, Sport Meets Art Sessions, Creative Writing for over 60s and our adults Carers Art Groups.
Over 80 people came along and helped us to celebrate, from children and parents to volunteers and funders. Attendees even making their own postcards to show off their creative skills and leave us some messages. To find out more about what happened to take a look at the wonderful video made by volunteer Wendy.
Thank you so much to everyone who attended, we’re looking forward to next years event already.
