In the easter holidays we ran an intergenerational trip for older adults and young people to see the exhibition ‘Body Vessel Clay’ at the incredible Two Temple Place. 

The group had a tour of the exhibition, which showcased some incredible works made by Black women artists working in clay, featuring the seminal Nigerian potter, Ladi Kwali and her influences on artists that followed.

Then they participated in a clay workshop with artist Cecily Jervoise who excavates her own clay to make her artwork.  They made their own sculptures (with their eyes shut!) and learnt techniques in coil pot making.  We had some brilliant feedback about the day and there were smiles all round!
